AN INTERVIEW: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

In a recent interview, Rona was asked about her approach to
Interior Design and what it is like to work with her.

    Here is an excerpt:

A SHORT CONVERSATION WITH RONA:

1.  CAN YOU DESCRIBE HOW YOUR FIRM WORKS?

Although I am the only interior designer, I work with a valued and
wonderful team of trades people including an architect, builder, fine
furniture craftsman, electrician, home systems group, upholsterer,
drapery workroom, painter, decorative artist and many others as
    the need arises.

These are my "go to" people who are called upon to implement
and craft my designs for my clients.  They install the finished
product.  We are all about quality, function and beauty done with
respect for the budget and timeline set by the client.

2.  WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF DESIGN?

I resist labeling my work as a particular style.  Each project is
special since each client is different.  But every project has one
thing in common:  it reflects the wishes of that specific client no
matter what style they are interested in.

My work does have a certain timelessness and elegance about it.
Design solutions are provided for the life you live in a way that
    reflects you, not me.

3. WHY ARE YOU UNIQUE?

My education background first as a Home Economist and later
post-graduate studies leading to an Interior Design degree from
Parsons School of Design in New York City (graduated with
Honors) blends both disciplines for the benefit of my clients.

I focus in a unique way on making things better for them
whether it is for residential or commercial projects.  My interiors
are visually striking and extremely practical too!

4.  WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT FROM OTHERS?

I am blessed with clarity, am a very good listener and analyzer of
information which helps me get it right the first time, focusing on
    what needs to be done.

I also have great organizational skills so my projects are well
managed.  I believe it is important to be a creative interior
designer.  But, being a good business person is also critical so
installations are smooth and worry-free. Combining the two
aspects of creativity and business ability brings a lot of value to my
    clients and their projects.

5.  WHAT DO YOU TELL INQUIRING CLIENTS ABOUT WORKING
      WITH AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?

There are so many facets to Interior Design.  People think it is easy
because of what they see on TV.  They figure "I could do this too!"
But this is not realistic.  With the Internet and other available
shopping outlets, a person can easily make costly errors without
    even knowing it.

I attend Trade Shows, international Markets, and take advanced
courses to continuously upgrade and improve my knowledge,
staying ahead of the curve.  I have the information that gives me the
ability to make the correct decisions, such as knowing
proper scale and proportion, codes that protect you, lighting
information and expertise in space planning and so much more.

    To summarize:
"We take your vision from inspiration to reality, giving you the
benefit of our experience, education and creativity."

    Thank you!
    Rona
